Fixing Internet speed problems in Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise

Some customers have reported Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Enterprise artificially limiting speeds on very high-speed Internet connections when using a direct Ethernet connection to the modem.

To resolve this issue, please follow these steps to load the Local Group Policy Editor to make the necessary changes:

Step 1. Use Windows shortcut keys Win + R to launch Run.
Step 2. Type gpedit.msc into the box.
Step 3. Hit the Enter key.
Step 4. On the left side, expand the Computer Configuration setting.
Step 5. Click Windows Settings.
Step 6. On the right side, right-click Policy-based QoS.
Step 7. Select Advanced QoS settings.
Step 8. Choose the Inbound TPC Traffic tab.
Step 9. Check the Specify the inbound TPC throughput level.
Step 10. Choose Level 3 (maximum throughput) and click OK.
Step 11. Reboot your computer
